Chuletas con Salsa de Cilantro (Pork Chops with Cilantro Sauce)

Ingredients

  • 4-6 thin pork chops rinsed
  • adobo sprinkled on both sides of pork chops
  • garlic powder sprinkled on both sides of pork chops
  • paprika sprinkled on both sides of pork chops
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil for cooking pork chops

Cilantro Garlic Salsa

  • handful of fresh cilantro rinsed
  • 3 cloves garlic peeled
  • cup light olive oil
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • After rinsing pork chops, season by sprinkling adobo, garlic and paprika on both sides.

Grilling Pork Chops

  • Add 1-2 tablespoons of oil to a grill cast iron skillet.
    Brush on pan or use a paper towel to spread oil on pan.
  • Heat pan to medium high heat and add pork chops.
    Cook on each side for 5-7 minutes.
  • Flip over and cook for another 5 minutes or so.
    Remove from pan and set aside.

To Fry Pork Chops

  • Add about a 1/3 of a cup of vegetable oil to a skillet.
    Bring oil to a medium heat.
  • When oil is hot, carefully add pork chops and quickly cook for 3-5 minutes.
  • Flip pork chops over and cook again for another 3-5 minutes.
  • Drain pork chops on paper towels and set aside.

Cilantro Garlic Salsa

  • Add garlic cloves, cilantro and oil to a blender or small food chopper.
  • Blend ingredients for a few seconds or until a smooth salsa forms.
  • Add salt and pepper to taste and stir.

Serving Pork Chops

  • Top pork chops with salsa and serve with a side of your choice.
