Agua de Fresa-Mexican Strawberry Water

Agua de Fresa (Mexican Strawberry Water) is a refreshing, delicious, natural drink that can be enjoyed anytime and is especially perfect in these hot summer days!

Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh strawberries rinsed, stems removed and cut in half
  • 4 cups water
  • cup sugar
  • ice

Instructions

  • Add strawberries to a blender with 2 cups of water and sugar.
    Puree until smooth.
  • Pour the blended strawberry mixture through a wire mesh strainer directly into a pitcher or other serving container to remove seeds and pulp.
    Discard seeds and pulp.
  • Add the other 2 cups of water to the pitcher and stir well.
    Taste for sugar, add more if needed or preferred.
  • Serve agua de fresa immediately over plenty of ice and enjoy!
    Note: You can also cover the pitcher and allow the agua de fresa to chill in the refrigerator without ice for several hours before serving.

Notes

If you prefer the seeds and pulp in your agua de fresa, simply skip the straining step.
