Agua de Plátano (Banana Agua Fresca)

Agua de Plátano (Banana Agua Fresca) is a delicious refreshing drink made with a few simple ingredients and perfect anytime of the year especially on hot summer days!

Ingredients

  • 2 ripe bananas peeled
  • 1 can evaporated milk
  • ½ cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 4 cups water
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ice

Toppings

  • extra banana slices
  • ground cinnamon

Instructions

  • Add bananas, evaporated milk, condensed milk, vanilla extract and cinnamon to a blender. Blend until smooth.
  • Add 4 cups of water to the blended mixture. With a large spoon stir well to combine. Taste and if too sweet for your liking, add a little extra water.
  • Pour agua de plátano over ice and garnish with cinnamon and a few extra slices of banana. Enjoy!

Notes

Recipe Notes:
Substitute for milk: You can swap the milk for almond or oat.
Bananas: You can also use frozen bananas.
Storing: Store leftover agua de platano in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
