If you love ribs, then this post is definitely for you! These Hoison Garlic Baby Back Ribs are absolutely delicious!
Marinated in a savory mix of hoison sauce, soy sauce, chipotle peppers, garlic and other delicious ingredients create the perfect marinade for these ribs.
As the ribs are cooking they become crusted with a savory, dark, russet colored bark.
Then once cooked and sliced, they are brushed with a buttery garlic sauce.
These ribs are just divine! You will love them.
When it comes to making the tastiest ribs for my family, I prefer to leave them marinating over night. This allows the flavors to really infuse into the meat and helps to tenderize the pork even further.
Not with these ribs!
I simply marinate for 30 minutes and then get them in the oven for 45 minutes to an hour.
However, marinating these overnight certainly wouldn’t hurt and would probably make them twice as delicious!
Ingredients for Hoison Garlic Baby Back Ribs
- 1 rack baby back ribs
- ⅓ cup hoison sauce (found in the Asian section)
- ¼ cup soy sauce
- ¼ cup ketchup
- 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon canned chipotles, pureed
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 3 cloves minced garlic

How to Make Hoison Garlic Baby Back Ribs
Prepare the Marinade
Add all ingredients to a bowl and mix with a fork. Set aside.
Marinade Ribs
- Rinse ribs.
- With a fork or small knife, pierce the skin in between each rib on both sides. (This will allow the marinade to infuse into ribs better.)
- Pour marinade on both sides of ribs. Marinade ribs for 30 minutes to 2 hours.
- Place ribs on a baking dish and cook for 45 minutes to an hour at 375 degrees.
- Take ribs out of the oven and transfer to a cutting board. Let cool for 15 minutes. (This allows the ribs to stay juicy and moist.)
While ribs are resting prepare the Garlic Butter Sauce.
In a small saucepan over medium low heat, add the butter and minced garlic. Cook for 5 minutes or until garlic is aromatic.
Cut rack into single ribs and top with the Garlic Butter Sauce. Serve immediately.
