Chick fil A Nuggets (Copycat) served with honey mustard and a creamy worcestershire sauce and served on a white platter.

We all love a yummy chicken finger and nuggets, but if you’re anything like me, you’d rather have real chicken in your nugget or finger than all that processed stuff!

In fact you kinda run away from the processed stuff when given the option too! 🙂

That’s why I decided to share with you this delicious and I mean OUT OF THIS WORLD KIND OF DELICIOUS Chicken Nuggets Recipe!

If you live in the US, then at some point you have most likely come across what I consider to be one of the best fast food options out there!  Chick Fil A!

Chick Fil A makes their nuggets with real chicken breasts and every bite is perfectly tender!

What if you could make them at home? What if you could enjoy these tender juices nuggets from the comfort of your home and make them anytime you like without spending a good dime?

Chick fil A Nuggets (Copycat) served with honey mustard and a creamy worcestershire sauce, served on a white platter.

    Ingredients

    • 1 lb boneless skinless chicken breasts rinsed and cut into one inch chunks
    • 1 cup dill pickle juice
    • 1½ cups milk divided
    • 1 cup peanut or vegetable oil
    • 1 large egg
    • 1¼ cup all purpose flour
    • 1 tablespoon confectioners’ sugar
    • salt and pepper to taste

    Sauces

    Honey Mustard

    • ¼ cup mayonnaise
    • 2 tablespoon honey
    • 1 tablespoon mustard
    • 2 teaspoon Dion mustard
    • 2 teaspoon lemon juice (freshly squeezed)

    Creamy Worcestershire Sauce

    • ½ cup mayonnaise
    • ¼ cup ketchup
    • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
    • ¼ teaspoon Worcestershire sauce (I usually add a little more, choose how much or little you like)
    • 1 teaspoon black pepper

How to Make the Most Delicious Chicken Nuggets You Will Ever Have!

Chunks of chicken breast cut up into one inch chunks.
Chicken chunks marinating in pickle juice and milk to make the chicken nuggets.
Coating the chicken nuggets in egg and flour on a wooden cutting board.

    Marinate Chicken

    1. Rinse the chicken breasts and cut up into one inch chunks.
    2. In a large bowl, combine the pickle juice and ½ cup of milk. Add the chicken pieces.
    3. Allow chicken to marinate for at least 30 minutes!  (DO NOT SKIP THIS STEP as it guarantees you will cook the most tender chicken nuggets you’ve ever had!)
    4. Drain chicken pieces and set aside.

    Coat Chicken

    1. In a medium bowl, whisk the egg and add the remaining 1 cup of milk.
    2. Toss chicken into the mixture and stir. Drain excess milk.
    3. Add the flour, confectioners’ sugar, salt and pepper to a large bowl or ziploc bag.
    4. Toss chicken to coat.  Shake off excess flour and set chicken on a plate.

    Time to Fry Nuggets

    1. In a large skillet heat oil over medium high heat. (watch that the oil doesn’t get too hot! Do NOT walk away from oil!!)
    2. After about 3 minutes, oil should be hot enough. (I like to check my oil by dusting in a few droplets of flour. If it sizzles, it is ready!)
    3. Working in batches, cook your nuggets until golden brown on one side.
    4. Flip over and cook until golden brown.  Drain nuggets on paper towels.
    5. Repeat until all nuggets are cooked and fried.
    6. Serve immediately with sauces! YUM!
