How to Make the Most Delicious Chicken Nuggets You Will Ever Have!
Marinate Chicken
- Rinse the chicken breasts and cut up into one inch chunks.
- In a large bowl, combine the pickle juice and ½ cup of milk. Add the chicken pieces.
- Allow chicken to marinate for at least 30 minutes! (DO NOT SKIP THIS STEP as it guarantees you will cook the most tender chicken nuggets you’ve ever had!)
- Drain chicken pieces and set aside.
Coat Chicken
- In a medium bowl, whisk the egg and add the remaining 1 cup of milk.
- Toss chicken into the mixture and stir. Drain excess milk.
- Add the flour, confectioners’ sugar, salt and pepper to a large bowl or ziploc bag.
- Toss chicken to coat. Shake off excess flour and set chicken on a plate.
Time to Fry Nuggets
- In a large skillet heat oil over medium high heat. (watch that the oil doesn’t get too hot! Do NOT walk away from oil!!)
- After about 3 minutes, oil should be hot enough. (I like to check my oil by dusting in a few droplets of flour. If it sizzles, it is ready!)
- Working in batches, cook your nuggets until golden brown on one side.
- Flip over and cook until golden brown. Drain nuggets on paper towels.
- Repeat until all nuggets are cooked and fried.
- Serve immediately with sauces! YUM!
