I’ve made these about 3 times and they’re a no-fail recipe. My husband loves them and there are never any leftovers to make refried beans. Nope, not a bean left.

Quick question regarding the recipe instructions. In the instructions it mentions Peppers yet there are no peppers listed in the ingredients. What type of peppers and how much does this recipe call for?

Hello Marissa! I just realized this error, sorry that was a mistake on my part, I had put “green onions” when I meant “green peppers,” thank you for pointing this out! I have corrected it. Let me know if you have any other questions! Thanks for trying the recipe!! 🥰

Thank you so much for the quick reply!! I made this last night to go with your Carne Frita recipe and BOTH were absolutely delicious and complimented each other very well. Even my husband, who proclaimed his hatred for black beans, had more than one helping😊

Oh Marissa, I cannot tell you how happy it makes me to hear that you and your husband enjoyed both recipes! Thank you so much for the sweet compliment!! I would recommend the pinchos de pollo and the pinchos de cerdo…also if you both like mofongo con camarones, try this one too, if you don’t like shrimp, simply top it with carne frita or chicharrones de pollo and top with a garlic aioli instead of the salsa criolla. Let me know if you do make them! ☺️
