    5 Minute Avocado Lime Dressing

    This Avocado Lime Dressing just takes 5 minutes to make.  Super simple and easy to make.  A delicious and refreshing salad dressing.

    You may not be in the habit of making salad dressings at home but that may soon change after you realize how easy this 5 Minute Avocado Lime Dressing is.  Blend a few ingredients and in 5 minutes you will have a delicious avocado dressing ready to go.

    When asked, “what’s the name of this salad dressing?” or “what brand is this salad dressing?” make sure to let everyone know you made it!  Your friends and family will be surprised by your culinary skills.

    No one has to know how simple this dressing really is.  I promise I won’t tell if you won’t 🙂

    Pair this avocado lime dressing with any lettuce salad, summer tomato salad, blanched green beans or salad of your choice.

    It’s just so delicious and simple to make, you don’t have to think twice about making it.

    Combine a few ingredients and you’re ready to go!

    How to make Avocado Lime Dressing

    Begin with gathering all your ingredients together.

    Cut the avocado in half and remove pit.

    Place all the ingredients in a chopper or blender and blend until smooth.

    First blend all the ingredients and then add avocado chunks to blend together.  Blend until creamy.

    Avocado Lime Dressing will keep for 1-2 weeks in an airtight container.

    Ingredients

    • 1 ripe avocado cut in half and pitted
    • ¼ cup olive oil
    • 1 tablespoon red wine vinegar or rice vinegar
    • ½ jalapeno
    • 2 garlic cloves peeled
    • ¼ cup fresh cilantro leaves coarsely chopped
    • 2-3 tablespoon freshly squeezed lime juice
    • 3 tablespoon water more if you would like your dressing thinner
    • salt to taste

    Instructions

    • Put all ingredients except salt and avocado into a blender or food chopper.  Blend until smooth.
    • Add avocado chunks and blend again until creamy.
    • Add salt to taste.  Taste and add more if needed.  
      Done

    Notes

    If you would like your Avocado Lime Dressing to be thinner, add a tablespoon of water at a time and blend until you like the consistency.

      This sounds like a delicious dressing! I actually don’t think I’ve made an avocado dressing before (like a proper salad dressing, I’ve made tons of avocado sauces and guacs and what not…) so this will be my first! 😀

      I love avocado dressings and this one sounds so delicious. Lime is my favorite ingredient to add to avocado. I would love this on chicken and fish, as well as salads!
