Happy New Year + 3 Kings Day Foods-Festive Season is Not Over

    ♦

YES!  Festive season is still not over!

A few weeks ago many of us were preparing for Christmas.  Decorating our homes, making our homes all pretty and festive, thinking about our Christmas meal and of course making sure we didn’t forget anyone on our Christmas list.

Or if you’re anything like me, you were making sure you got everyone on your list.  Yes, I am one of those last minute shoppers.  As much as I try every year to get all my gift shopping done way ahead of time, I always end up running around getting those little extras.  That extra gift I happen to pass by that I just happen to find and just needed to get!  Every year I go through it!

But now that Christmas has come and gone and some of the stress has been relieved we now look forward to welcoming the New Year!  2019 is just a few hours away!  A new start, a new beginning!

So of course we have also been thinking about what we will be serving.

But for us Latin people the celebrations don’t end on New Years Day, our celebrations continue even after New Years Day.

We celebrate Three Kings Day (Dia de los Reyes) on January 6th and although we have our traditional dishes served from Thanksgiving all the way past Three Kings Day, individual homes sometimes change things up and like to add additional non-traditional dishes to facilitate the cooking.

So whether you’re having a dinner party on New Years Eve or simply wanting to serve some appetizers, or you are Latin and celebrations continue on, (you can also pretend you are!  🙂 ), I have compiled some delicious options for you.

2019 is just hours away my friends!

So here you go, from delicious appetizers, dinner, sides, desserts and drinks, you will have a multitude of delicious options for your unforgettable holiday season.

Happy Holidays, Happy New Years and to my fellow Latin community, Happy Three Kings Day!
